Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home DVD

SKU ID #319225
The exciting, deep space adventure story began with "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" (1982), continued in "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" (1984) and concludes with the most sophisticated of all the Star Trek movie screenplays, "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (1986). William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, and Walter Koenig all return as the triumphant crew of the Enterprise. This time they undertake a vital mission into Earth's past to save humpbacked whales whose extinction poses a huge threat to the planet. This directors' series version includes outtakes and commentary by director Leonard Nimoy.

    Comments about this product:

A condensation of Star Trek II, III, and IV into a single edited video of the same length as IV might go over better on the small screen. There were too many references to the earlier two films. That made this film fail as a smooth story line by itself.
